What AxisFoundry Is

AxisFoundry is an independent publication providing general market commentary and analysis. The focus is on the intersection of macroeconomic forces, equity market structure, and institutional positioning — with an emphasis on what bond markets and rate dynamics are signaling before equities reprice.

This is not a trading newsletter. AxisFoundry does not publish buy or sell recommendations, price targets, or portfolio allocations. The aim is to provide rigorous, informed framing of the forces that matter most to market participants operating at the macro level.

What Gets Covered

Coverage spans four primary domains:

  • Macro — Rate regimes, term premium dynamics, central bank policy, fiscal supply, and cross-asset correlations.
  • Equities — Sector rotation, earnings quality, valuation in the context of the rate cycle, and structural thematic shifts.
  • Positioning — Institutional positioning data, CTA flows, options market structure, and sentiment extremes.
  • Tactical — Near-term setups where macro, positioning, and price action converge to create asymmetric reads.

Methodology

Analysis draws on publicly available market data, positioning surveys (CFTC COT, Deutsche Bank positioning, BofA fund manager surveys), Federal Reserve data releases, and curated commentary from practitioners with relevant domain expertise. Source attributions are provided for transparency. Original authors are not affiliated with AxisFoundry.

The analytical framework prioritizes distinguishing signal from narrative: when a market move is driven by term premium expansion versus growth optimism, that distinction is made explicit and its second-order effects identified. The goal is to provide institutional-grade framing for analysis, not to surface consensus views through alternative channels.
